William H. Bowers

William H. Bowers, 84, of Westlake, Ohio, died peacefully on January 17, 2023, with loved ones by his side.
Bill is survived by children Scott and Jennifer; their mother, Bette; grandchildren Harrison (Scott and Rebecca) and Mearan (Jennifer and Robert); and Bill’s fiancée Diana Nally.
Bill was a Cleveland native, rooting for the Browns, Indians, and Cavs his entire life. He was a 1956 graduate of Rocky River High School, where he lettered in football and baseball, and served as class president. Bill played trumpet in The Ohio State Marching Band before ultimately graduating from the University of Pittsburgh. He later served in the U.S. Army at Fort Knox, Kentucky, playing trumpet as a member of the 113th Army band and bugle for fallen servicemen during the Vietnam war. Upon honorable discharge, Bill worked as a television producer/director in Miami, Florida, and Cleveland before joining the family business, H.R. Bowers Company. When not playing golf as a proud member of Westwood Country Club, Bill performed in musicals and instilled a love of music and sports in his children and grandchildren.
Bill was the son of Margaret and Russell, and brother of Robert and James, all deceased.
