Robert L. Ciminello

Robert Ciminello, age 83, died January 12, 2012 at Kobacker House. He was born June 6, l928 to Sam and Mary Ciminello, in Columbus, Ohio.

A 1946 graduate of Linden McKinley High School, he served in the US Navy, attended the Ohio State University where he played in the marching band, and graduated from Otterbein College in 1952 with a B.S. degree.

He was a chemist for Moores and Ross Dietetic Laboratories, a pharmaceutical salesman for Wyeth Laboratories and currently owned Med-Tel Orthopedics. A lifetime member of the American Bowling Congress, he served many years as league treasurer.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marjory (Harper), and daughter Kathy. He is survived by son, Gary; grandsons, Raffaele Ciminello and Nathan Stickel; five great-grand-children; brother, Fred; sister-in- law, Jean (Paul) Lowry; two nephews; several cousins; and friend and business partner, Charlene Miles.

Per his wishes, there are no calling hours or service. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to HomeReach Hospice's Kobacker House in care of Ohio Health Foundation, 180 E. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43215-3707.

Robert was a member of the marching band in 1945.
