Sandra Jill Emig

March 7, 1951 - June 19, 2022

Sandra Jill Emig, known as Sandy, was born in Roseville, Ohio on March 7, 1951. Sandy excelled in music on baritone and piano. She graduated from high school as valedictorian at Valley Stream North High School in New York. Sandy attended The Ohio State University, and gained her Doctorate degree with a 4.0 grade point average. She next came to Liberty, Missouri and joined the faculty at William Jewell College where she spent 25 years, and was Chairman of Music Theory. Sandra loved teaching and sharing her knowledge, enriching her students. She was a member of Liberty Christian Church.

Sandy is survived by her parents Lois Myers Emig and Jack Wayne Emig; her brother Keith Emig (Dina); her niece Ashley Battaglia and nephew Christopher Emig.

Sandra’s life will be remembered in private services. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the William Jewell College Music Department.

Sandy was a member of the marching band in 1972. She was Head Librarian.
