William A. Hetzel

October 21, 1949 - August 31, 2021

Dr. William A. “Bill” Hetzel, 71, of Flemingsburg, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.

Born in Miamisburg, Ohio on October 21, 1949, he was the son of the late Clarence Walter Hetzel and the late Dorothy Lee Compst Hetzel.

Bill worked for 20 plus years as a chiropractor. In college he was a part of the ROTC and later went on to be an instructor at the Military Adventure Camp at Camp Sousley.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Claire McKee Hetzel; his four children, Gail Lynn Boldman and husband Russell, Scott Palmer and wife Gerri, Jennifer Rhoades, Christopher Hetzel and wife Jill; his 11 grandchildren; and his five great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roger Sheppard; his grandson, Jeremy Boldman; and his brother, Walter Hetzel.

Services for Bill are being privately cared for by Boone-Nickell Funeral Home.
