Douglas Alan Hofmann

August 20, 1954 - August 14, 2015

Douglas Alan Hofmann, 60, went home to be with the Lord on August 14, 2015.

He was born on August 20, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio, a son to Robert and Charlyne (Dorn) Thornton.

He is also survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Pamela (Reis) Hofmann; daughter, Heather; son, Luke; sister, Paula; step brother, Bobby; nieces, nephews, cousins and many beloved friends.

He graduated from Eastmoor High School in 1972 with honors; 1976 and 1978 from the Ohio State University, also with honors; played the baritone horn, M-Row, in OSU's TBDBITL for 5 years. He was employed as a Senior Research scientist and Glass Developer at Owens Corning Fiberglass in Granville, Ohio from 1979 to 2014.

Doug was a member of the Pataskala Grace Brethren Church for more than 35 years. He served as an elder and one time choir director. He loved and served the Lord with his whole heart.

Memorial donations may be made in Doug's honor to further the work and in the sharing of joy of the Lord to the Pataskala Grace Brethren Church, 3517 Headley's Mill Road, Pataskala, Ohio 43062, where a memorial service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 3:00 pm, with Pastor Fenton McDonald officiating. Arrangements completed by Kauber-Fraley Funeral Home.

Doug was a member of OSUMB from 1972 through 1977. He played baritone in M-Row.
