James Earl Howard

January 28, 1955 - November 25, 2015

James Earl "Jim" Howard, 60, of Perrysburg, passed away November 25, 2015. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on January 28, 1955, to Nina Belle (Conrad) and Robert F. Howard Sr. He graduated from the Ohio State University and continued his education at Xavier University to complete a master's degree. Jim married his wife, Vicki, on July 9, 1977. He worked at Otsego Schools as a band director for many years and retired as a principal for Cardinal High School in 2014. He was a member of Grace United Methodist, an alumni of Kappa Kappa Psi, a member of the Ohio State Marching Band, and a member of the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators. He enjoyed home remodeling, watching Fox News, and loved to be on the beach.

Jim is survived by his wife, Vicki (Tucker) Howard; his children, Christopher Howard, Jennifer Howard, Tiffany Howard, and Rachel Howard; his grandchildren, Andrew Fife and Charlotte Howard; his brothers, Robert F. Howard Jr., Kenneth Howard, Tom Howard, and Ed Howard; along with many more nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nina Belle (Conrad) and Robert F. Howard Sr.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 5, 2015, starting at 12 noon, with a Memorial Service beginning at 2 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 601 East Boundary Street, Perrysburg, Pastor Dennis Ditto officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6600 W Sylvania Ave, Sylvania, Ohio 43560. Arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank Funeral Home (419-874-3133).

Jim was a member of the marching band in 1973 through 1977. He played baritone in M-Row.
