Marvin Luman Lee

October 18, 1932 - July 16, 2021

Marvin Lee, aged 88 years, died on July 16, 2021, in Reno, Nevada. He was the son of George H. and Mildred L. Lee.

Marvin was a previous resident of Indiana having graduated from Pendleton High School in 1950 and The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1956.

He established the Edgewood Veterinary Clinic in 1958 and practiced small animal medicine and surgery there until 1990 when he moved to California. He and his son Kevin created the Peninsula Security Co. in Redwood City. The company continues to provide access control and security electronics to businesses in the San Francisco peninsula including the area known as Silicon Valley. Marvin and his wife Christie, who were married in 1979, moved to Reno, Nevada, in 2000 and he continued to be involved with the security company until recently.

Marvin had many interests including sailing, learning to fly small aircraft and riding motorcycles. He continued to ride his motorcycle in Nevada and often took day long trips with a neighbor in the outback of northern Nevada and California.

He is survived by his wife, Christie; son, Kevin; stepsons, Chad (Megan) Williams and Rob (Carla) Williams; sisters, Joyce (Preston) Brown, Marcia Coen; brother, Timothy (Jeanne) Lee; and son-in-law, Tom Kostishak. Marvin was predeceased by his parents; and daughter, Cindy.

There will be a private celebration of life at a later date. His remains will be interred in Jones Cemetery in Delaware County, Indiana.

Marvin was a member of the marching band from 1951 through 1955. He played trumpet in T-Row.
