David Mock Livingston

April 14, 1945 - July 9, 2021

David M. Livingston, 76, passed away peacefully at his home in Sun City, Arizona, on July 9, 2021. He was born on April 14, 1945, in Columbus, Ohio, to Robert "Doc" and Priscilla Livingston.

David attended Urbana Local and Urbana High School, graduating in 1963. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1967 with a degree in Food Technology. At OSU he was a proud member of the Ohio State Marching Band and the Alpha Gamma Sigma fraternity.

On March 16, 1968, he married his high school sweetheart Martha Branstiter.

David was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army in July of 1968. He served 6 years attaining the rank of Captain while stationed in Germany, Vietnam, and Utah. He was awarded two Army Commendation Medals for meritorious service.

In 2002 he retired from Victoria's Secret Stores as the vice president of operations.

David is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marty; his son, Robert Livingston; his daughter, Ali (Paul) Hildahl; and his beloved grandson, Davey Hildahl; his brother, Jim (Carolyn); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

David was a man of faith who loved his family, golf, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. A Celebration of Life will be held August 13 at 11am at Messiah Lutheran Church, Urbana, Ohio, with Pastor Ray Branstiter officiating. Immediately following the service, lunch will be served at the church.

David was a member of the marching band from 1963 through 1967. He played Alto horn and marched in C-Row and S-Row.
