William Raymond McLoughlin

December 7, 1950 - December 2, 2020

William "Bill" McLoughlin, a retired US Navy Veteran, age 69, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020. He was born December 7, 1950 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Thomas and Florence McLoughlin.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Linda McLoughlin, brother; James(Vickie) Mcloughlin, sister; Peggy Plano, children; Brian Mcloughlin, Kevin (Melissa) McLoughlin Casper, and Amy (Terry) Brown, four grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Poole.

Bill was an active man. He was a longtime member of the Saint Pius Catholic church, and the American Legion. In his free time, he loved traveling with his wife and even partaking in competitive ballroom dancing. He loved the water, always involved in sailing, or booking a trip on a cruise.

Bill was a bright presence in people's lives and will be missed deeply.

Guests are respectfully asked to wear masks and attendance will be monitored to ensure safety for everyone attending. Family will receive friends Wednesday, December 9th, 2020, from 4-7 PM at Schoedinger East Funeral Home, 5360 East Livingston, Columbus, Ohio 43232. Services will be held at Saint Pius Catholic Church, 1051 South Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068 on Thursday December 10th at 10:30 AM, following a graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donate to the Arbor Day foundation which will plant a tree in Bill's Honor, 211 North 12th Street Lincoln, Nebraska 68508. Bill was a member of the marching band in 1968 and served as a member of the managerial staff.
