Cynthia Lynn Meister

February 3, 1975 - June 30, 2021

On June 30, 2021, Cynthia Meister, loving wife and mother of two children passed away at the age of 46.

Cynthia was born on February 3, 1975 in Beloit, Wisconsin to Craig and Kathy Robertson. She received her bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University in 1997, her Master's of Education from The Ohio State University in 1999 and taught elementary education for 22 years at Columbus City Schools. On December 20, 1997, she married David Edward Meister. They raised two sons, Nathan and Ethan.

Cindy had a passion for teaching, which allowed her to make a difference in so many lives, as well as gain many lifelong friendships at Columbus City Schools. She also loved music and played numerous instruments and was a member of the Ohio State Marching Band. She was known for her amazing kindness and thoughtfulness which inspired many, as well as her infectious laugh.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband, David Meister; Two Beautiful children, Nathan and Ethan; mother, Kathy Robertson; brother, William; sister, Cassandra, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Cindy is preceded in death by her father, Craig Robertson.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rutherford Funeral Home at Powell 450 West Olentangy Street Powell, Ohio 43065. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Cynthia to the Ronald McDonald House or to the Stephanie Spielman Fund for Breast Cancer Research.

Cindy was a member of the marching band in 1996 and 1997. She played baritone.
