Dr. Allan K. Scherl devoted father of Linda Hann (Ernie) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Julie Winkle (James) of Chesterfield, Missouri, Dale Scherl (Ruthanne Reigle) of Lawrence Kansas, Steven Scherl (Theresa), Michael Scherl (Jackie) of Upper Arlington, Ohio, Tracey Pendlum (Matt) of Fishers, Indiana and Daniel Scherl (Jolene) of Valley Village, California; cherished grandfather of Sarah, Elizabeth and Kelly Hann, Emily Meuth (Jake), Allison Winkle, Erin and Liam Scherl, Zachary and Sean Scherl, Isabelle Tolin, Phaedra, Leland, Aurora and Quinlin Scherl, Adrea and Max Pendlum; beloved companion of Sandy Berk, dear Uncle and great Uncle.

Services will be held Monday August 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 26700 Aurora Road, Bedford Heights. The family will receive friends at the residence 6909 Highland Drive, Solon. Immediately following services to 8:00 PM and Tuesday 7-8:30 PM. Contributions are suggested to Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation.https://www.mhopus.org

Allan was a member of the marching band from 1952 through 1954. He played sousaphone in K-Row.
