Glenn Matthew Taggart

April 17, 1946 - April 2, 2011

Glenn M. Taggart, 64, of Bethlehem, passed Saturday, April 2, 2011, in his home. Born: in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a son of the late Glenn O. and Stella Matthews Taggart.

Personal: He was the husband of Donna Paulus Taggart. Glenn and his wife Donna are principals of Taggart Associates, a local urban revitalization consulting firm located in south Bethlehem.

Memberships: Glenn was a member of Bethany UCC Church, Bethlehem. He was a Past Worshipful Master of Jordan Lodge No. 673 F & AM in Allentown. As an active member of the Lehigh Valley community, Glenn served on the Lehigh Valley Planning Committee, the Bethlehem Zoning Hearing Board, and was an adjunct professor at Northampton Community College. A proud graduate of the Ohio State University, Glenn played the sousaphone and was an I Dotter in the Buckeye Marching Band.

Survivors: In addition to his wife Donna, are a daughter, Karen McComb and her husband William of Menifee, California; a son, Daniel of Centreville, Virginia; step-sons, Michael Hartney and his wife Melissa of Northampton, Mark Hartney of Bethlehem, Jeff Hartney and his wife Missy of Bethlehem; a grandson, Tristen; and his faithful labrador retriever, Brutus.

Services: A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8, in the Masonic Temple, Brighton and Wyandotte Streets, Bethlehem. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10065, and/or to the Glenn M. Taggart Family Foundation (for the continuation of Glenns legacy of urban revitalization) c/o Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18017.

Glenn was a member of the marching band in 1965 and 1966. He played sousaphone in K-Row.
