William G. Vallery

July 13, 1918 - December 8, 2005

William G. (Bill) Vallery passed away on December 8, 2005 after prolonged illness. He was born on July 13, 1918 in Waverly, Ohio to L. P. (Steve) Vallery and Hazel Gregg. A veteran of WWII, he rose to the rank of Major in the 96th Infantry Division with which he saw combat in the Okinawa and Leyte campaigns.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margebeth (nee Rucker) Vallery; a son Gregg M. (Linda) Vallery of Cincinnati. Grandfather of Christine and William Vallery and great-grandfather to James Patrick, all of Scottsdale, AZ.

Memorial service will be at the Madeira-Silverwood Presbyterian Church, 8000 Miami Ave at 12 PM on Tues, Dec 13, 2005. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati, PO Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263-3597.

William was a member of the marching band in 1936. He played efer.
